Check out those claw hands . Good for scratching your back. This bloke stands over 6 feet tall.

Great shot Taboo. And the claws on the back legs are quite capable of opening up your gut.

Thanks. Not a chance of running away. Actually, offense is the way to go. Can't have a buck thinking he can dominate you in your own backyard and the reason I keep a gentle persuader (pick handle) within reach here. Had two going at it on the verandah and front yard for ages nearly breaking a window. When I intervened, only one ran off and the other stood his ground until I got within arms length and he decided he was facing a greater threat

Thanks grumpy. Yep, watch those legs and as you approach quickly come in with a movement to the side. Puts em off balance.

Yea, I think he deserves respect whatever....

We photo'd smaller ones in NSW a few years ago. They were used to humans, and allowed themselves to be touched/stroked by us. Mind the sun was hot, and they were a bit dozy...:)

Thanks Dave. Usually not dangerous but they have their moments.

Generally the Does' and younguns are certainly not a dangerous critter by any standard and the most that happens to anybody will be a claw mark
by accident with the domesticated ones. The big wild bucks however can be a different proposition defending their patch and right to their girls and still nothing to be concerned about, however, not something you take a chance with particularly if there's a chance with kids roaming about.
