I read in The Times a few years ago that most times you see a bullfinch is when it's flying away from you. They are very elusive birds. We're lucky enough to have a pair in our garden but I never/rarely see them, only hear them on occasion. A lovely, sweet, soft whistle. And if I ever do see either of them, they're flying away from me.

This is a very well detailed shot as per a blackbird, blue tit, etc which are more common and less shy but given the preamble, this is something special - super photograph and well caught.

Great capture, the only one I see in my garden likes the blackberry bushes.
