Canon Pro 300 printer - Connection Issues

Has anyone had a problem with the Canon Pro 300 printer occasionally not talking to a Windows 11 desk top computer. I've tried reinstalling drivers etc but the problem keeps recurring. On the occasions it does print the printer / Fotospeed combination is superb. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Many thanks for taking the time to get back to me .... much appreciated. I'll make contact and hopefully they'll help me to get something sorted as I'm running out of hair to pull out. I'll keep you posted.

Probably a driver issue, but not sure. Canon should be able to help. How is the printer connected? USB, wifi, ethernet? When I am working and connected to my work VPN, I cannot access my network-based printers. This is by design in the VPN. My wife, not on a VPN, has problems printing and she is connected over wifi and this is a known issue with my model of internet modem.

Thanks Don S. I made contact with Canon and they were most helpful. Whilst their advice helped in the short term it seems as though my computer does not hold the USB connection settings. I'm beginning to think I might try a clean reinstall. Thanks your help.
