I have been googling for a while and getting confused (I am not a photographer lol). Is there a difference between an enlarger timer, enlarger metre, and darkroom timer?

I just bought an enlarger timer for my boyfriend's birthday. No idea if it's a good one as spent a while looking and it seemed the best option with my budget. But I know he needs a darkroom timer and I can't work out if that's the same thing. What does an enlarger timer do? And now I've read about an enlarger metre, please say that's the same thing?

A Darkroom Meter, Enlarging Meter: This is most likely a device for determining the length of time required to make the enlargement. It measures Light as it would fall on the Paper.

You then take the time indicated by the Meter, and use it to set the Darkroom timer:

SO: the latter is used to turn the Enlarger off at the set time.

The Meter is used to determine how much time is required.

I used both in my Darkroom days, both are nice to have.

Okay thank you.
What I bought him was labeled 'enlargement timer' but looks like a darkroom timer.
Here's the same one on a different website than i used:
