A few more blown glass shots which I thought loosely resembled alien landscapes.

Excellent work. The last looks more like an exploding star than a landscape.

Thanks Roger, on the last one I was thinking an aerial landscape of a magma field but exploding star works too.:)

I feel that the top one gives much the best effect, especially when I consider your chosen overall title.
It's a pity about the highlights near the top; I would certainly consider trying to do something about them.

Funny enough I had the same thought and tried to burn the 'space' above the glass but it never looked right and I was not happy with it plain black. I tried another avenue but didn't post it as its more digital art now than pure photo.
Not sure if I have quite cracked it but here it is. I removed one flare and incorporated the other two as planetary bodies.

Cheers David, that one has grown on me despite it's fictitious nature although I may work on the stars a bit more on the full size version.:)

Love these. I saw one of shots in this months competition and had no idea what it was. Makes sense now. They really are different.

Thanks Phill, got to say I have stared at this vase for years before even thinking to take pics of it. Definitely different but makes a nice change from my usual multi legged macro subjects.:)
