Thanks for the explanation. Thanks, it is a optical illusion I think although I hadn't given it much thought until you pointed it out. At the time of day this was the light would have been pretty strong from the front right but as you say the LHS of the trees is lighter.
Here is the original as it was straight out of camera.
Yes well despite the illusion I very much like the carpet of leaves, nice!
That is an interesting effect. Nice shot regardless.
Great scene and the light lines make sense to me as it seems that the light comes from the right hand side.
Good work for me.
Many thanks all, @Pete Larkin I think I was giving all my shots from yesterday a bit of a brightness boost to try and make the most of all the colours going on in the trees. I gave your suggestion a go and quite like it as it focuses you towards the center of the shot where the trees are leading.Love the scene, Ryan - beautiful colours and form. For me, it looks a bit bright and I wonder if darkening it down globally and then adding an invisible vignette would give it more impact?
Yeah, that works better - I'd even be tempted to lighten the middle a touch more - but that's just me. Beautiful shot.
Thanks guys!I like the latest one more -- Well done.
Thanks, I went off the trees verticals rather than the horizon as the scene naturally slopes up to the right.the last image, well done! but needs the horizon adjusted.
