Photography is a pretty big deal to me, though I haven't been doing it very long. I purchased a t3i from a pawn shop around 14 months ago, I buy things that I probably cant afford when im stressed, and had recently found out my mothers cancer was terminal. Only using it a few times it sat for a few months until some weeks after she passed. A fire was lit in me, I was angry, confused and left wondering how the most recent good photo of her that I was there to have memory of, was taken years ago... With that fire came a passion for making photos that could lock my memories away, safely, so long as I maintained backups. Its amazing how easy it is for a disk to get lost or fail... So many photos gone forever. What I'm getting at is, I love making beautiful images, and all of your constructive criticism is why I've joined the Photography forum, I don't have many friends, and none of them know anything about photography. As my images got better I realized my camera was holding me back, though I did have plenty of cheap glass to choose from, Im so nit picky that the lack of sharpness and overwhelming grain forced me to break down finance a Canon 6D and 24-105 F4l, so here we are, about a year in and way too much invested lol. I would love it if some of you to let me know what you think of my photos IMG_8244.jpg IMG_8074.jpg IMG_8711.jpg IMG_8694.jpg IMG_6841.jpg !

Ok.... You have got a good cam/lens combo now.... that 24-105 lens is the best walk-about lens Canon makes imo
first is not doing anything for me I'm afraid ..
second is a cracker good dof and super sharp where it needs to be ... slight crit, I think a touch anticlockwise twist would make it sit better
third good composition but I would darken the gravel in the bottom left as it keeps taking my eye
fourth ... good dof and bokeh with the main subject nice and sharp .. .but could do with a bot more room on the left to balance it
Last one is a good conversion to B&W

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Some good looking opening images. I try to not offer cc when on my phone though.
That's a nice combination of camera and lens, should serve you well for some time.
