Apologies for being late, we watched the first 4 episodes of Game of Thrones series 8 last night and I forgot in the excitement :)

Anyway, my choice is this rather nice panning shot I like by @Pete Larkin in this thread

Nice and simple but effectively done and the muted BG colours and motion blur do make the windsurfer pop.

Nice shot Pete. I recognised the spot straight away having sailed it myself many times. I think I recognise the sailor too. Well done on the panning shot. With the water so flat due to the slightly scary wall, the pan has worked brilliantly.

For those who don’t know, the lake is one of the best spots for speed sailing in the UK. By the wall which is just a couple of inches above the water surface it is dead flat. People are doing over 40kts just inches from that wall. Sometimes it goes wrong and the fin will catch on the bottom or debris leading to some either very funny or very nasty crashes. Loads of fun but very buttock clenching at times.

Thank you everyone! @Phill104 yes - that wall is littered with large boulders, just a couple of feet away. At high tide, they will just sail over the edge onto the River Dee for a little play as well! Don't know if you did that?

Just sailed the lake. I am usually too knackered after a few runs to do anything else. Some wonderful photography to be had in the spot though

A very nice shot Pete and I like the PP too - most unusual. :)
Thanks Skyshot - whilst I'd like to be able to claim the PP, I'm afraid it was out of the camera - a black day, with a small shot of sunlight to pop the colours. Bit of a crop, and a bit pf a vignette, but nothing much else
