Hi All! A couple weeks ago I camped up in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the family. As per usual, I was able to sneak out one morning for some sunrise hiking and photography. On this occasion, I was looking for flame Azaleas along the Appalachian Trail. Despite a storm coming through and knocking down most of the flowers, I was able to find a small area worth shooting. I waited for the sun to come up over the mountain, blanket the foreground and took this shot.

Great shot. That fanning out of light over the mountain is amazing.

There's something special about the sun peaking through a scene. I try these myself on the odd occasion and they just make me feel good, as this one did. Loving the nice wide angle too.
