Love the posture and the composition, and the lighting looks great. For me, having a sharp head would work better than the soft focus effect, giving a more powerful image (but that's just me...)

I really like this clean style of shot isolating the subject against a black backdrop. I also sit in the camp of always trying to get the animals eye absolutely sharp in nature shots. But that's just personal preference, and this is a really good shot.

I was having issues as the face a bit harsh as the rest looked ok. Maybe a tweak back will help.
