Looking for insurance against accidental damage

A shout out to any of the Aussie members, I am looking for someone to insure my gear against accidental damage. I am covered against theft with my household and car insurance, but they don't cover accidental damage. Although I am pretty careful accidents do happen and now I am retired and on a fixed income it would be almost impossible to replace either of my camera bodies, or lenses if they were to suffer significant damage.
If anyone could recommend an insurance company in Australia I would be extremely grateful.
TIA.

Do your insurance company not offer accidental damage insurance as an upgrade? Here in the UK mine certainly do and have been very good when I have claimed. It may be worth talking directly to them about it.

G'day John

This is both an interesting one and a dilemma too ... as I am sort-of in the same boat
In Oz it seems that all insurances seem to filter back to Allianz - regardless of which 'shopfront' you start with, and their paperwork can vary in wording between two very similar products for seemingly the same coverage. In my case recently it's been RV insurance... some policies exclude RVs over 3,5tonne, others allow up to 4,5tonnes ... and yet the colour photo and wording on the brochure appears to be the same

Cameras+equipment wise, I recently sought 'your' insurance for our 4x cameras that travel in the motorhome, but for when they are out walking around with me/her. They wanted an annual premium of over $500 !!! So theft from the vehicle was covered in the 'basic' policy, but theft or damage while walking around was going to cost $500+ p.a. Not for us
