I ran across these light at my grandfathers house while cleaning it out. Can anybody tell me about these? What specifically would they be used for and who would want something like these? Any help would be appreciated. 0215190913b.jpeg 0215190905.jpeg 0215190902.jpeg

Hello and welcome to the forum.

What you have here is a Mole-Richardson Studio lighting set with one 1250 Watt quartz flood head and two 650 Watt quartz spot heads. It should have three light stands with it in the kit. It does appear that one of your lenses is missing though.

Continuous light, often used for film. Color corrected with gels when needed.

This was one package which included the aluminum case you have, and the head demagnetiser which is shown in your picture. Your value right now would be in the $500-$600 range.
