    That 60mm is a peach. Looks like you are going to have a lot of fun with it.

    At the moment I have my flash on top of the camera, long term I hope to sort something different out

    I used to use a simple straight bracket and mini ball head so I could have the flash off camera at the side. On the 7D the internal flash could fire the external one so I needed no cable. In your case a hot shoe extender would be needed. I reckon you could do all that for £31 looking at eBay prices.

    Here are the bits from various other places. I used a cold shoe adapter instead of a cable, but that is not needed when using the cable. Not all cables have a thread to mount them on the remote end so look out for that.
