The police used these when I was a kid. Silent running, you never heard them coming.
Nice to see a whole one.

Yes David I will restore it ...............the choice is a full restoration ,show room standard or an ''Oily Rag'' restoration.
The experts favour an OIly Rag version ...at the very least I will repaint it in the same grey ............it's a winter project.

So does "oily rag" restoration mean a complete dismantle and rebuild/repaint, or somthing similar to a realy good service and repaint?

Probably the latter David ...............Getting it going will be the first task, then possibly a paint job.

Difficult to tell on the picture but it looks like a good place to start with in the getting it going stakes is to connect the spark plug.

I hope that members understand that the name "Noddy'' has no connection to the Enid Blyton character of the same name ,he is out of favour having got into bed with ''Big Ears''...................of course in todays world this would now be permitted

I well remember the good old Noddy Bikes they were still turning them out until 1970.
    LE (little engine)
Growing up in the 1950's living on a large council estate I remember the practical clothing man coming
once a week to collect his money for the loan we had for clothing (a group of Hereford shops we could buy from on the never never)
he had an early LE Velocette when the estate dogs used to chase him down the road they always caught him up
he would give them what for with his size 10 leather Jack boots.
