Old barn

    Saw this place last week and the mound of shrubbery at the front was covered in yellow flowers so I planned to visit on the way home after work today but the flowers were no longer.
    Would have loved the colour shot but but it lacked something without the blooms. As it is, still an interesting old structure in mono.

    I would have been interesting with the flowers.

    The barn is a good subject for mono but your conversions seem a bit flat. Try adding some contrast by playing around with the levels sliders at either end of the levels histogram.

    I did a quick edit of the second one and came up with this.

    Liking the edit Jules definitely gave it some depth I was missing.

    Edit is much better. The originals are very flat and grey.

    Great subject. I'd love to find something like that around here. Good set of pics. I'd edit somewhere in between the two I think. I'd be keeping an eye on this spot for dramatic skies, rainbows, etc.
