Here is a set of long exposures of an old fishing pier in Toco, Trinidad. I couldn't decide between the colour and black and white. I would appreciated your CCs.

1. Colour

2. Black and White

Hey it's a lovely shot, I like the simple central location. The colour is the comfortable winner for me with the nice pastel bands although the b&w might be helped by upping the contrast a little bit.

Both shots work for me, I think the color wins out slightly for me though.

Love them Mike. Both work, but the colour is more impressive. I wonder about also cropping a little off the top just to sit the structure higher up in the frame?

Color for me. When you have such simple compositions color becomes an important part.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I’m leaning towards the colour and I think the colour palette works well.

Love it Mike, those colours are great. :)

I'm pretty certain you've captured it as it really is (and as you wanted), but my OCD made me want to level it a bit - sorry . . . I must go and see my therapist. :exit:

Thanks! I had previously leveled it with the horizon which I cropped out. I get you!

Love them both Mike. Nice dreamy look. Colour for me because the B&W needs a bit of oomph! I had a play and got some different effects, including a selective colour version. It's all fun, just play around and enjoy.

Those both work for me, but I may lean toward the mono a bit.
