Hi all,

It has been a while since I have done a family album (nearly years now and I am working towards putting something together. I am aiming to keep doing this every few years containing family/friends photos and any shots I am fairly proud of. I used to use Albelli for these books but I see they are no longer around (think they were taken over by Bonusprint).

Does anyone else have any recommendations? What I liked about Albelli was they had a program you could download to your desktop to have great control on layout etc rather than a web based one. Plus they also did hard back books that could lay flat (not sure if that is a standard option everywhere).

Cheers

G'day

I have used Snapfish - okay turn around and results, and I have seen a VistaPrint (Amsterdam) album and that looked quite okay as well
Hope this helps

I use Loxley Colour - a fairly simple piece of software to use, and flexibl.

Their print and paper quality are excellent and with some of their products they will check over your colours for you for free.

I use Photobox.co.uk. They have many options and a massive sale on at the moment. Remember to increase the exposure in your files by 0.5 to 1 stop to compensate for the printing.

Thanks all. Always prefer to get recommendations from those who have used them before. I have used some of the others in the past and had poor results. Not neccessarily from a printing quality perspective but more in care of the resulting product once printed e.g. fingerprints and damage to prints/cards.

I recently received a 200 page book of my photos from Facebook. It cost $100 and worth every penny. Now the catch is all the photos have to have been posted to Facebook. Mine were over 10 years and a good cross section of my work was used. I could as well edit images deleting and adding, editing copy or deleting as desired. Overall Id give them a 10 out of 10.
