A few shots from my latest travels up and down the coast in search of a beautiful sunrise. Some days have paid off and others have given just minutes of light and a handful of images. Two great places to go in the North East of the country and I did a day just like that last year. I recommend Rattray at sunset myself as it catches the setting sun really well over the winter months.

excellent set of images, the 1st and last stand out as they are very different pov's to the normal.

Really nice work. They are all beautiful but 1,2 and 4 rock my boat just that little bit more.

Excellent set of photos. Much to like about all but the golden light in #6 is very appealing. I like the water in #3 as well. Grand job.

Lovely varied selection of an often done subject. You picked out a few different compositions which are a breath of fresh air.
Made a good choice going for sunrise, eastern locations usually favour sunrise. Western sunset.

I agree with others that these are a special set of images Liam. Wonderful colours and framing on all of them. I especially like the last one for some reason. I would have to say it's the detail and excellent framing you've presented. TFS :)

Being born in Turriff and went to school in Banff i know that coast fairly well and have to say these are some of the best i have seen. A cracking set, the N.E coast has some beautiful parts and if you get the light right there is huge potential. You wouldn't be related to Stewart McBride would you?

Many thanks Stephen, I don't think I am to my knowledge anyway. There are a few of us in Elgin. [emoji16]

Ah, i have fond memory's of Elgin, i remember my wife (of one week) on honeymoon getting sea sick on the boating lake in 1984.

Just as a side to this thread, seeing Elgin mentioned, it reminded me of a guy in the US who created an imaginary place called "Elgin Park". It's quite amazing what he achieves and his photos are done with a simple small digital camera! I hope it's OK to post this here - if not a mod can change it.
