Red dots and markings around lens

Hi,
I've got a Dacora 1 camera with a Westar lens and Vario shutter. Can someone please explain what the numbers in red and the red dots next to some of the focus numbers and the 11 f-stop mean? I have provided a photo. I gather the markings have something to do with calculating depth of field but I don't know how to use them.

The dots are for zone focussing. With the aperture on the red dot, the first dot is for taking a portrait with everything in focus between about 5 and 8 feet. The middle one is for groups between 8 and 15 feet, and the last is for landscapes with between 15 ft and infinity sharp.
They were added to help beginners or non-technical users get sharp photos.
