Thanks for taking the time to look at my pictures, they were taken from my lounge through open patio doors. However the light was poor hence iso2000. I was indoors and the squirrel was in the shade but even with point exposure reflections caused over exposure of some areas. I am not great with PP either. Sigma 150-600 f8 at 1/160, tried pushing iso higher for faster shutter but images were to grainy. As always all comments welcomed.... q Red Squirrel 4s.jpgq Red Squirrel 3s.jpgq Red Squirrel 2s.jpgq Red Squirrel s.jpg

Not too shabby. Light may dictate how it's going to come out.
Another option was @ F6.3. May help a bit with SS.
Another option to help is denoize. Simple to use and is useful.
#1 for me- i like it!

#1 for me also, great pose.
Oh I am so envious, I have to travel for hours to see Reds, and you open your patio doors ... :D

Yes they are all super captures. First is best IMHO. You might play with the vibrancy a little to add zest..:)

Lovely pictures, and a pleasure to see the red squirrel. I just purchased Topaz DeNoise AI, and I have to say it is amazing at reducing noise - not very expensive, and I think it will help with the grain.
Having said that, I don't find the grain distracting.

Photo one works for me, as the image is uncluttered, and draws the eye in nicely.

Top photo is great. The tree branch frames up the little squirrel well and the green background is suitably obliterated so as not to distract from the subject. Middle two show that a simple little squirrel is interesting to watch by just doing what it does naturally and the eyes are tack sharp on both. The side tongue on the bottom photo is a good catch.
