River Surfing

    Went to watch the 5* Severn Bore on Friday morning. I canoe'd this for about 10 metres in 1974 before being spat out - I think that there were about 10 people on the water then!!

    He bailed out just after and came running past us with the intention of catching the wave a bit further up the river.

    What an awesome sight it is. Did it once too, didn’t last long, so different to surfing on the sea.

    Well Jeddoh, normally called Brian. It looks like fun. Might try it one day but I'm not a strong swimmer.

    Wear a life jacket and give it a go. That was as big as the wave gets so you could always try out a lesser one.
