    Hi All
Here are a few photos of Santorini. I was underwhelmed by the photographic opportunities here. The buildings are monotonous and the place overruned by hundreds of tourists (selfee obsessed!). We were there in the midday heat, haze and harsh light. The famous Santorini sunset was just a cloudless orange sky! I used a polarizer to try and boost the colours. I did the best I could considering the conditions. I had to boost the saturation in LR to further extract colour. I would appreciate your CCs.

Ideal place to use a polariser. Did you use a blur graduated filter on one or two of them Mike.?

Thanks Ed! I did not use an other filter. The dynamic range was not that wide.

    G'day Mike

Seem to me that you've returned home with "the usual collection of tourist snaps of a holiday location". There are [too many] places around the world that we as tourists go to for a holiday, and where the actual site does not fully give us what the brochure claimed we would see.

However, from the above images, I would take it that your results are "more than okay", and from these you should be able to produce a few goodies to display [show off] on your lounge room wall

Just yesterday I watched Brendan Van Son’s vlog on YouTube about the place. He also found it a struggle in the same way you have.

    G’day Phil
You are correct about my Santorini photos. Not much for the photographer there. As for the tourist experience: overpriced and underwhelming. There are much nicer Greek islands like: Mykonos and Katokolon. Nicer scenery, more to do and friendly down to earth people.

I think your photos are excellent Mike. That comes from someone who has never been to Santorini! It's slightly different than looking out my back door here in West Oz. Only one pick - just a verticals fix on the yellow building in #2.

Thanks Isac. I did the best I could with the harsh light and heavy crowds.
