What stacking software are you using folks. I've got CZM on my old PC (Windows Vista), my main PC is Windows 10.

I need something easy - like, browse, load and go. I don't want a free trial of all singing and dancing, as I won't be doing enough of it to warrant the cost.

I use Elements 13 and I know I can do it here, but it's an 'all around the houses' process.

To be honest with you Steve, you are probably going to pay something if your looking for Stacking Software. Photoshop, CombineZP, Tufuse, Helicon Focus and Picolay to name but a few.

Zerene and Helicon are probably the most popular and you get what you pay for. I have used both and eventually purchased Zerene, and then upgraded to the Pro version.

Have a look here as Johan goes into detail about the different software. His website goes into stacking and micro macro photography in great detail.

I use the photo stacking utility in Photoshop. It works well for my non-macro needs and is adequate for the macro stacking I've done.

I only have Elements 13 Mike, there's no script for stacking. I have printed off a tute, where I can do it manually using layers and masks. I'll probably have to go down the Adobe pay per month route, I've been trying to hold it off, what with all the different contracts I have per month, I thought I could keep this one at bay, as I don't edit that much - just a bit of tweaking, cropping and sharpening, plus Nik. It's not the money, but the principle of being married in to Adobe for life.

Combine zp works fine for me just remember that the edges will probably need a trim when stacked so allow for that I found reversing the stack order helped at times

@paulmag I have looked to download it, Paul. But my security software gives me a warning, do you know of a safe download?

@gaelldew Garth, I'm Ok with jpeg only, the Raws can be processed first, and the say, 10 jpegs can be uploaded to the software, where on retrieval I can resize and crop.
