This place is driving me nuts.
The cement benches you see coming out from about half way up, actually forms a huge half circle that lines this walkway. It's very symmetric as you can see. Right behind this bench is a row of Japanese Red Maples making moving back impossible. It's actually very impressive looking. I won't be happy till I figure out how to get the entire walkway in. A pano wont work, Too many over hanging branches right above me. So, here is yet another attempt. I like the sky and rays in this one. This was shot about 3 feet off the ground on a tripod.

I like this low but am not sure the path in the foreground is totally necessary (or needed). A crop at the edge of the snow works well for me.

Agree about the walk, unless I can get the entire walkway in. One reason I never included the walkway.
I'll wait till the red maples bloom, bring a ladder and get above and behind them and shoot down or get a drone. Great shot in my head.

20ft fishing pole, sorta giant selfie stick to get over the top of the maples for a more high up looking down angle ?

Maybe 10 feet. Now it's stuck in my head, won't be able to sleep now.

I think it makes a very good shot if you cropped out the walkway so the snow was the foreground.

When I am out shooting I always have a pair of scissors with me to remove problem obstacles so perhaps a chainsaw to trim back the overhanging branches

I posted a shot like that somewhere below.

    The Golden Cathedral...

I'm determined to get this shot somehow. The chainsaw idea, won't go over so well. On second thought, the Japanese red maples are my favorite tree and one would look great in my yard.

I'd also consider cloning out the scaffolding.

Oh talking the gloves! Been a bit warmer here lately so I have set up my gear without them. And regretted it. Invisible short grass height vicious stinging nettles grrr
