Here I was reading the ittle and thinking some frat brothers outside a party, doing what over drinkers do. Itd 3d Ani W60 Smiles 051 Itd 3d Ani W60 Smiles 036

There's some beautiful light in this, Gareth.

I was thinking a bunch of Irishmen with sticks and a ball. Thankfully not. Nice light.

You want dangerous, try camogie. It is ten times worse. Despite the rule differences supposedly making things less physical, in practise that is not the case. Women take no prisoners.

Hey it's a lovely shot I just wish it had been taken from a smidge lower so the top of the left hand stone didn't align with the horizon creating a tangency.

    Thanks for the comments, everyone.

    Hmm... you're right. I hadn't noticed that!

No men with sticks... but these two were there - and making some strange noises!

Love the first image Gareth and wouldn't change any thing, beautiful warm light and nice pastel colours in the sky with just a nice bit of cloud to give some interest there. The second image is also a great image , but if it were mine i would crop a touch of the right hand side sort of midway between the 2 rocks mid distance and just above the cloud bank on the left side. That is just my take on it and not a criticism in any way.

    Thanks, Stephen.
Yes... I think you're right - the top part of the sky doesn't add anything.

Liking the first one, Gareth. Wonderful composition.
I don't know if would be any help-
It might be worth a look to lift the mid tone colors in curves a tiny?
As is I would be happy to say I shot it.

Your photos are so amazing and often inspirational to me, personally

I'm absolutely new to photography and I'm just seeking ideas and learning things(I never thought photography and editing is SUCH a complicated process, all these curves, orbs, whatever else there is plus all the aspects of the right light, iso, other elements etc, it's all so confusing to me as a beginning photographer).
I just hope i won't get discouraged by that too soon, cause I really always wanted to be at least an amateur photographer

Photography is a weird thing, the more you learn the more there is to still learn. Every time you pick up something it opens more avenues to go down. For most of us that is what keeps us hooked. Getting past the early stages can be a challenge, but once you do it feels great. It is then you can start challenging yourself further, it gets addictive and exciting. The frustration is well worth it. There are often days you wonder why you do it, then you will get a session that you come home from grinning from ear to ear, and a stack of images that all make you smile. Then the frustration kicks in again as you try and decide from the set of images which one you keep.
