In this thread we talk about random gubbins and try and keep each other sane.

We might be stuck in our houses but at least we have means of communication, right?

So what's eveyone up to? Im working form home, but don't actually have any work to do. So get ready for an influx of old images getting the PP treatment

I'm also going to finally make the music Album I've been planning on for the last 20 years.

I am working as normal, 8-4. However, things are slower at work as our customers are doing the same or shut down. My wife is working from home, but she is working shorter hours and a lot of things she would be doing cannot be done because of the situation.

The girls will be using MS Teams from Office365 to start back to school tomorrow from home.

Our list of essential services that are allowed to stay open include this:

Beer, wine and liquor stores and alcohol producers, and stores that sell beer and wine through arrangements with authorized providers; cannabis stores and cannabis producers;

Priorities Note, several small distilleries, and one brewery, have started making hand sanitizer. The brewery was making theirs for restaurants and distributing for free.

yes some our distilleries are making hand sanitiser as well.

its still a bit vague what supposed to be open and what isn't over here. for example my gutters are still getting cleaned tomorrow apparently.

I'm still at work, I have another two days to go to finish a bathroom and I can't leave the lady stuck without one for the indefinite future.

This coming weekend I had a cottage booked in Shropshire for a long weekend with family and then onto a narrow boat for a week straight after. Both now cancelled of course so I will take the opportunity to spend some time uploading a load of images to stock and sale sites and doing some composting and editing while brushing up my PS skills a little.

I haven't mentioned it here yet but I did plan to leave the UK in June and tour Europe with my other half in my motorhome for 8 or 10 months but that looks like a distant dream now. It would have been the photographic trip of a lifetime but will have to wait till things calm down.

thats a shame, would have been an awesome trip. hopefully its not too far in the distant future.

That sounded great, pity it has been put on hold. But something else to look forward to in 2021

currently furloughed from work the factory will be closed for the duration I assume.. have been doing some light gardening and a little admin for work from home fortuitous that the weather is as nice as it is.

Been working on electronics and control systems whilst trying to avoid the b$ circulars my other half thinks are important and hoping the phone doesn't go; as soon as this dropped the local makers community got busy developing hardware that can be built up using 3D printers and off the shelf electronics. From initiation to getting a medical grade respirator system in to deployment has taken less than 2 weeks and also churning out things like flow valves and face masks.

Took the opportunity to defrost the freezer earlier. Now it’s all sorted we’re going to have a few meals called “defrost surprise”. Goodness knows what’s in the bags as the lettering has come off and they’re all a yellowish colour with a potential unfrosted consistency not dissimilar to vomit

I thought that as we are in our eighties and wont be walking very far and having hardly picked up the camera I would stop my Photoshop account and just use Affinity, so got on to the help line to do it. Very nice of them when they offered to pause the account for three months and I can still use it, so hopefully providing we are OK can try and get the mojo back.

As of 16:00 today I am on enforced holiday until 20th April as most of our customers have already decided to shutdown, even before Boris spoke yesterday.
