Hi All
Below are 2 versions of a Long Exposure I did last year at Toco Beach, Trinidad. I would appreciate your CCs.

Hi Mike!

I like the B&W version better. I like the rock that looks like a shark fin.

Hi Mike. Beautiful shot of a lovely place. I'm not mad on editing other's images as we all see things quite differently at times
but I couldn't help having a play with this lovely image. Just my 2cents worth as I thought it could do with a little more contrast so
did a little quick dodging and burning. Could be just my laptop monitor even though its calibrated I know its not 100%.

Thanks for your feedback. The increased contrast is an effective edit.

Mono is preferred. Both good, but the mono is better.

I'm going the other way(!), I prefer the colour....

How long was the exposure? Assume you used ND filters. I have never used them, not for any bad reason, just never thought to. With my Em1 mk3, the camera has ND filters in software, waiting to use them when we get weather and chance...:)

Well they are on my Oly Em1 mk3. Unsure how it works, I doubt there is a set of filters built in to the hardware, so am guessing they are software driven....:(

I really prefer the color, because of the added element. Great shot, only little thing is I wish is that the sharpness of the rock was just a tab more pronounced, to contrast with the softness of the water. At 181 seconds, I suspect you were getting a little shake.

Thanks for your comments. The foreground rock looks sharp on my monitor at home. Mabe some compression effect. My tripod was on a sandy beach so there could be some tiny sinking during 181 seconds. You have to push the tripod down into the sand before starting.

It could be partly compression. Ive also noticed that even with an old beast of a tripod, vibration from wind can cause a degradation of sharpness, on extremely long exposures. In any case it still is a really good shot.

i think the further rocks have a nice thing going on for themselves. focus isn't everything. quiet like the soft mysterious look to them personally
