The Male stonechat was regularly posing to his female from this perch and bringing her the of snack. He was well aware that the local cuckoo also likes shouting from the same spot. When he arrived the stonechat would have a little protest by flying through bouncing off the post just below the cuckoos feet. Quite a funny sight. The cuckoo almost completely ignored the other bird.
