Well I have had to improvise this week as we bought a fresh car for my wife last week so here is it (it represents money!) and what I have left!

Bookies and money - almost synonymous I guess. Well captured and captioned. Good D0F too. Edward, I must work out how you do the borders. I tried and for some unknown reason LR export couldn't get them down to forum size with the border!

Paul, spot on for me, simple but direct and to the point.

I do them in Photoshop, Mike. Most processing (cropping, exposure, etc) in LR4 then export as a 800 largest side jpeg (for the forum), open in photoshop for a sharpen and add the border there then save for web and reduce the quality to one tick below 170kb.

I assume you know the backs of all the newer coins make up the heraldry banner (or whatever it's called)? I'm not sure I'm going to have enough change this week to find that.

I haven't been on here for a bit and am glad to see this thread when I logged in - am happy to see the weekly challenge is still going strong and there are people who are committed and are doing a fabulous job coming up with ideas for subjects every week.

I would love to, but unfortunately due to time constraints I am finding it difficult as things have been so busy lately.

I just wanted to pop on and say well done to you guys, and keep it up! What an achievement it would be to get to the end of the year and think "Wow - I actually did it!"

Edward, thanks for the advice on adding a border. I have actually downloaded a Lightroom preset called LR/Mogrify that does what I want from LR. It is a very flexible solution to the problem. What I found is that setting the jpg quality to 100% seemed to prevent resizing down to forum size. I then read somewhere that 76% was the optimum setting so used that and everything fell into place.
