    Week ending 09/12/16 Religious

Welcome to this week’s weekly challenge, the theme of which is Religious

Anyone is welcome to join in!!

*The rules of the competition are posted below*

Here are also the next four challenges in the Weekly challenge.

    49. Week ending 09/12/16 Religious

    50. Week ending 16/12/16 Metal

    51. Week ending 23/12/16 Sparkle

    52. Week ending 30/12/16 Age

The Weekly Challenge competition is a fun to enter weekly run thread where a new photographic subject is posted each Saturday and you have a week to complete the photographic theme, the closing date of which will be indicated in each weekly thread posted.

You are able to join in at any time during the year, just post into the thread to get started.

If you are not able to post in that week, it does not mean you cannot join in the following week.

You can also post an image that is relevant from your archives if you cannot get out to do the picture in that week.

It is a fun competition, and there are no prizes, just a thread to get us out taking pictures. The competition runs for a year, and at the end of the year, it will start again with new themes.

info: a JOKER week is a subject that is suggested by a member of the forum.

The church at Tyneham village in Dorset. The village was taken over by the army for training years ago. It really is a good place to visit, all the other houses are in various states of ruin, but the church remains unscathed.
This is also the first picture where I swapped the sky in PP. IMG_1480752263.814781.jpg

Quick trawl through the collection, before I get the camera out, threw up this one.
Good job digital pictures are ethereal or the forum would sink under the weight of stone already uploaded.

Couldn't resist posting these - something from inside these magnificent buildings. Taken from the past and seeing as it's a challenge, can you name the feasts being celebrated? :D

    1. This should be quite easy
    Crib Q 7060 1550.jpg

    2. Not so easy
    St Josephs Q 1463 2100.jpg

    3. Something in this might give the game away
    Mass Q 1502 1024.jpg

    4. Possibly the most difficult but it does have a good clue :)

Very good - third is Easter but could just as easily be Ascension, as the decoration would be the same, and fourth is Pentecost. Anyone want a stab at the second?

    1. This should be quite easy
Feast of the Nativity (aka Christmas)

    2. Not so easy
Good Friday (The spear, sponge/hyssop, and purple gave it away. The color on Easter is white.)

    3. Something in this might give the game away
    Easter (That's a nice altar.)

    4. Possibly the most difficult but it does have a good clue :)
    Pentecost

I taught catechism for years, so my priest might be concerned about me if I got any wrong.
